I don't buy Apple's argument for a second. Organizations or individuals set on reverse engineering or breaking Apples privacy, security, and patented technologies are not interested in fixing the device while organizations or individuals who are interested in repairing the device are typically not interested in reverse engineering them. The overlap is very small with the majority of those who want to tinker with those aspects of the device being very aware of the consequences and undertaking the risks themselves. Thus, the stifles innovation argument is merit-less without further, highly substantial supporting arguments which would already have been presented if they existed and since they have not, these arguments can be considered irrelevant and merely a stalling action.
It’s not just the NSA it’s the local law enforcement and the sheriff and the citizens on patrol but thanks for saying something. I get followed everywhere I go. Simply put It’s a invasion of our privacy, harassment and stalking with no boundaries!. It should be illegal, I for one do not stand for it. My internet my personal phone, my work phone, my brand new laptop was hacked with in first couple days. My town is flooded with drones and fake cell phone TOWERS that intercept everyone’s cell service. The public hasn’t got a clue. Too much power in the wrong hands. I want them exposed!!!
